The objective of this training program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills that are required to become a professional and certified nursing assistant. The program curriculum is aligned with current community and industry demands, with an emphasis on applying patient care theory and hands-on training to real-world patient situations. The technical skills acquired in this program will allow students to successfully pass the Georgia Nurse Aide certification exam, and ultimately, obtain gainful employment as an entry-level nursing assistant. Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Provide physical and emotional support to patients in long-term care facilities and hospitals
- Implement patient care plan under the direction of LPN and RN staff
- Assist patients in performing activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality per facility and federal regulations
- Accurately collect and record vital signs, including pulse, respirations, and blood pressure

Nursing Assistant classes are taught Monday thru Friday for three (3) weeks. During the 4th week, students attend three (3) days of clinical experience, which are conducted on the weekends. Clinical days are scheduled for the Saturday, Sunday, and next Saturday following class room instruction, with student reporting from 6:45am - 3:15pm.

1. Submission of all required admissions documents
2. Negative TB Skin Test (recent within 1 year of start date) or Chest X-Ray
3. Must be fully COVID vaccinated or have medical exemption documentation.
4. Tuition fee paid-in-full or signed payment plan agreement
5. Uniform: solid navy-blue scrub set and clinical tennis shoes (white, black, or black/white), watch w/ second hand
6. Clear purse, bag, or backpack to hold all materials (e.g., pens/pencils, notebook, highlighters)
